Despite having “left” Spotify in protest of Joe Rogan’s evil misinformation campaign, it would appear that some of Neil Young’s music remains playable on the platform.
Fox Business reported, Although his complete catalog list isn’t available on the streaming website, Wonderwall notes that Young’s music from “soundtracks or other events that featured him but were released by other entities” are still on his page. For example, the outlet notes that his “Heart of Gold” song is there due to the “Eat, Pray, Love” soundtrack.
Many social media users had believed that Young had returned to the platform, but in reality, the songs still listed were plainly never removed.
Rogan controversy was sparked when Rogan platformed an infamous virologist who is at least partially responsible for the development of mRNA vaccine technology Robert Malone. Malone has dedicated his life’s work to virology and vaccine research but is skeptical of the current COVID-19 vaccine.
Rogan allowed Malone to voice his concerns during an episode of the Joe Rogan experience on Spotify.
Malone, however, is not an anti-vaxxer and has in fact dedicated most of his life to vaccine research, and actually owns 9 patents related to mRNA vaccine technology according to Rogan. According to reports, it was Malone’s own experiments that paved the way for the COVID-19 inoculation.
Rogan said in a recent clarification video, “These people are very highly credentialed, very intelligent, and get accomplished people and they have an opinion that’s different than the mainstream narrative. I wanted to hear what their opinion is.”
After Young’s protest, Rogan appeared to take a shot at Young at the end of one of his shows. The comedian walked off stage to one of Neil Young’s most famous tracks “Rockin’ in the Free World.”
