It should be no surprise that Attorney General Merrick Garland personally approved the raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.
This is the persecution of political opposition. Power-driven Garland has acted in a way similar to Vladimir Putin, using government assets to prevent others from competing for office.
“I personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant,” Garland said during a press conference on Thursday. Previous reports had indicated that Garland nor anyone in the White House had any knowledge of the raid.
Agents ransacked Trump’s offices, and personal areas ripped apart Melania’s wardrobe, and even broke into President Trump’s safe.
At this time it’s unclear if the agents found any evidence in their 10-hour search, though Trump believes that agents may have planted evidence.
All week Republicans have been outraged by such careless usage of the FBI, this is sure to continue and ramp up as the revelation that Garland was involved.
