On March 28, in Salem, Oregon, ANTIFA attacked “Freedom Rally” attendants. The rally was held near the state’s capitol.
Pictures and videos from an independent journalist, Andy Ngô, were uploaded to Twitter.
One of the tweets Ngô posted detailed how armed ANTIFA was. He wrote, “They wore ballistic vests & carried guns, bats, shields & gasmasks.”
Ngô also commented on their destructive behavior, “They assaulted drivers on the road by throwing paint & rocks. One vehicle’s windshield was impaled by a tree limb.”
He claimed as many as 200 ANTIFA members were there to stage a counterprotest, the Salem Police estimated around 100.
During their rampage, counterprotesters smashed a truck window of an older man who drew a pistol after he was assaulted with a spray substance and threw objects at him.
Only when the assaulters cried out the man was armed did the police intervene.
