AOC Compares Her SEXUAL ASSAULT to the Capitol Riot

Democratic Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, on Monday night via an Instagram live stream, became emotional as she confessed about her experience with sexual assault and compared it to the events of the Capitol Building Riot. The stream garnered around 150,000 viewers as she broke down the incident from her perspective.

When comparing Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley she said, “These folks who tell us to move on, that it’s not a big deal, that we should forget what’s happened, or even telling us to apologize, these are the same tactics of abusers.”

Ocasio-Cortez continued, “And, I’m a survivor of sexual assault, and I haven’t told many people that in my life. But when we go through trauma, trauma compounds on each other.”

She also recalled her experience with a Capitol Police Officer who was trying to save her. According to her, the officer seemed like he was full of rage and didn’t identify himself to her, noting that her staffer thought that he would have to potentially fight him.

This video comes just days after Representative Ocasio-Cortez accused Senator Cruz and other elected Republicans of trying to “murder” her in a tweet.

In another stream she did two weeks prior, Ocasio-Cortez said she didn’t feel comfortable going to a safe extraction point and decided to seek shelter in Congresswoman Katie Porter’s office instead.

She said, “there were QAnon and white-supremacist sympathizers and, frankly, white-supremacist members of Congress in that extraction point who I know and who I have felt would disclose my location and would create opportunities to allow me to be hurt, kidnapped, et cetera.”
