AOC Spotted Vacationing In Florida Despite NY COVID Cases

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was seen dining in Miami Beach, Florida, as COVID-19 cases rise in New York, National Review reported.

Team DeSantis wrote on Twitter, “Welcome to Florida, AOC! We hope you’re enjoying a taste of freedom here in the Sunshine State thanks to @RonDeSantisFL’s leadership”.

Ocasio-Cortez was spotted drinking cocktails outside of a restaurant, which quickly drew criticism on social media.

The representative has previously criticized leaders for fleeing disasters in the past. Back in February, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz visited Cancún, Mexico, after Texas experienced harsh weather and power outages.

AOC had tweeted “If Sen. Cruz had resigned back in January after helping gin up a violent insurrection that killed several people, he could’ve taken his vacation in peace”. “Texans should continue to demand his resignation”.

Months later, she tweeted “Ted, this is pretty rich coming from someone who fled their own home (and responsibilities) during an environmental crisis to cross the border and seek refuge in Mexico” in response to a post Cruz made.

Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette M. Nuñez tweeted “@AOC’s New York state of mind clearly doesn’t mind being in the free state of Florida…mask free of course”.

OutKick founder Clay Travis posted “AOC is the latest in a long line of Democrats to take a mask free vacation in Florida. If Florida’s covid policies are so dangerous how come Democrats keep vacationing there? #AOCLovesDeSantis”.

As the criticisms continued, AOC took to Twitter to claim Republicans are motivated by “sexual frustrations” over the fact “they can’t date” the congresswoman.

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet,” she tweeted.

“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, [and] LGBT+ people in general,” she continued.

AOC was also criticized because her campaign sent out a fundraising email after she was seen in Miami.

The email asked supporters for money via an email ahead of its quarterly filing with the Federal Election Commission.

It claimed the Democrat was ‘speaking truth to power” by accusing Republicans of “violent Islamophobia” against other members of Congress.

“But, candidly, our fundraising has slowed down since the summer months this year, and we’re relying on your support today to get back on track, hit this goal, and keep Alexandria in Congress fighting for bold solutions for working families,” the email read.
