On Tuesday, Atlantic magazine billionaire owner and widow of Steve Jobs, Laurene Powell Jobs, published an article suggesting the Biden administration should create a no-fly list for unvaccinated individuals.
Jobs’ publication, which included input from Juliette Kayyem, noted that the list is “an obvious step that the federal government should take”. She is able to avoid most airport security and restrictions and is also the owner of two private jets.
The article added that unvaccinated individuals should “face scorn among their peer group” and be forced to give up some societal benefits.
It also mentioned the TSA PreCheck, which allows airports to categorize passengers based on the level of threat they pose, and noted the check “keeps certain people off the plane entirely”.
Beyond limiting the virus’s flow from hot spots to the rest of the country, allowing only vaccinated people on domestic flights will change minds, too.

The publication went on about the unvaccinated, even claiming “Amid a global health crisis, people who defy public-health guidance are not, and do not deserve to be, a protected class”.
Jobs is not the only one advocating for an unvaccinated no-fly list. The former Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security during the Obama administration, Juliette Kayyem, explained that “flying is not a right”.
It’s argued that this idea will help stop the spread of the virus. Kayyem believes the vaccination proof is not as big of a deal as others make it out to be.
