Jen Psaki indicated that the holds were always intended to be temporary. “remains focused on ensuring that Americans who are struggling, through no fault of their own, have an off-ramp once it ends.” She added.
It was requested that the moratorium be extended, and $47 billion in emergency rental assistance that the American Rescue Plan included can be given to tenants.
In the letter, Democratic representatives raves about how “minority communities were hit harder.” Yet another example of law makers attempting to prioritize people based on their race.
The common denominator is always poverty. Through simply assisting all
Impoverished communities, poor minorities will also be helped.
“The impact of the federal moratorium cannot be understated, and the need to strengthen and extend it is an urgent matter of health, racial, and economic justice,” the letter read.
