With new Georgia voting laws, Joe Biden expressed that they need to ‘smarten up’ before more businesses begin leaving their state.
Businesses are not leaving Georgia because of their new voting laws. The MLB for example moved their All Star Game out of Atlanta as a political show boat when the liberal mob came for the state. Suddenly MLB officials are the good guys.
The MLB has their headquarters and hall of fame in New York. New York State laws are where Georgia got its model for their new laws.
In New York, there is 9 days of early voting time, and it is illegal to hand out food and water to voters waiting in line.
In Georgia the food and drink law is almost identical, but there are 17 days of early voting.
New York, does not require an ID to vote but Georgia does. This is really the most ‘radical’ thing that the state did.
The only issue is voter ID laws are not radical, they are necessary. Citizens have to identify themselves when they bi cigarettes, or alcohol why should the same not be true when they vote for elected officials?
Biden says that he supports businesses who want to protest Georgia’s new laws. It begs the question, would he say the same for corporations who wish to protest anew York State law?
In Biden’s first press conference he claimed that this set of laws made “Jim crow look like Jim eagle.” Implying that making voters show ID, and not allowing partisan groups to poll warm is worse than laws that allowed for segregation.
