Biden has adopted a new ritual, in which he turns his back on reporters and refuses to take questions at press events.
The tradition has been present in a disappointing amount of his public appearances. Thursday, the President turned his shoulder once more.
Fox News reported, Biden, speaking from the controversial set across the street from the White House about the response to COVID-19, offered his signature “may God protect our troops” closing line before showcasing his familiar move of quickly exiting as reporters barked “Mr. President” over each other.
It appears as though Joe Biden simply lacks the aptitude to answer simple, straightforward and unplanned questions.
In the past, America’s 46th Commander In Chief has only taken questions from reporters that were named on a predetermined list of journalists known to ask easy questions, and offer minimal criticism.
On the campaign trail, Biden promised to “restore transparency to the White House.” Months later, it’s clear that he is committed to the opposite.
