The “Black Lives Matter Curriculum” aims to dedicate the first week of February teaching the “13 Black Lives Matter principles” Some of these principles include dismantling the “western prescribed nuclear family structure” and “dismantling patriarchal practices
The DC public school systems officially endorse the teaching of these principles in the form of “Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action”
Political scientist Carol M Swain claims “The curriculum put forth by Black Lives Matter and being embraced in too many places is really destructive of the Black community and the Black family and racial justice,” when speaking to Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Another goal is “zero tolerance for discipline” Swain says “in the inner cities there is a lot of violence that takes place in the classroom – the last thing the black community needs in schools is a situation where there is no discipline”
Many of the things the curriculum seeks to destroy, are exactly the tools the black community needs to progress productively.
