After conducting an investigation, police discovered the felon was in possession of Xanax pills. They also found over 300 ballots for Newsom’s upcoming recall election in his car.

Officers further searched the felon’s car and found methamphetamine, a scale, a loaded gun, and multiple California driver’s licenses and credit cards with other people’s names on them.

The suspect’s name was not released but he was arrested and now faces multiple weapons, narcotics and forgery charges.

Police are unsure how the ballots ended up in the suspect’s car or what he was going to do with them. The issue is being investigated with the help of the Los Angeles County District Attorney Public Integrity Unit and U.S. Postal Service.
