Inspired by the thousands of truckers protesting COVID-19 vaccine mandates in the capital of Canada, truckers in other countries have begun their own versions of the “Freedom Convoy”.

Brian Brase, who’s helping organize the U.S. protest, told Fox News Digital “I think you’re starting to see what will become a big global movement to end these mandates”.

“It’s a violation of your human rights to be mandated to take this vaccine. If you want it, go get it, but being mandated to get it, we’re standing up against that. We think it’s wrong,” he added.

The Facebook page created for “Convoy to D.C. 2022” was removed on Feb. 2, with a spokesperson claiming the group was “repeatedly violating our policies around QAnon”.

“Canada has inspired the entire world to stand up,” Brase told Fox News. “Across the world, I’ve had people reach out: Finland, and Switzerland, and Norway, and Germany, and the UK, Australia”.

According to the Canberra Times, “the group has called for 5 million supporters to converge on Canberra in the coming weeks”.

In New Zealand, protests are heading towards Wellington from both ends of the country. The New Zealand Herald reported that “All kinds of motor vehicles from trucks to cars and campervans are travelling the length of the country to meet in Wellington in protest against Covid-19 vaccine rules and public health measures”.

Starting Sunday morning, protesters left “from Cape Reinga in the North Island and from Bluff in the south”.

According to the Brussels Times, two separate protests are being organized by a World Freedom Convoy group on Signal. The truck drivers plan to drive to their respective capital cities on Feb. 7 and a large group will drive toward Brussels on Feb. 14.

Reports came from the Netherlands Sunday, with approximately 25 trucks, dozens of cars and several tractors gathered in Leeuwarden to protest COVID-19 restrictions.

Aram Lemmer, a business owner and protest organizer in Austria, told the Toronto Star that he helped gather 2,500 vehicles that will be driving to Vienna in a convoy on Feb. 13.

Truckers in the United Kingdom have been organizing their own protests, planning to hit multiple cities on their journey. The Scottish Daily Express reported that a Freedom Convoy in Scotland will start in Glasgow, drive to the capital of Edinburgh, and then to London.

Convoys are also planned to leave from Llandudno, Cheshire Oaks and Cardiff in Wales. In England, the four meetup points for convoys are Manchester, Exeter, Bristol and Bournemouth. Protesters in Ireland are planning to drive from Belfast to Dublin, too.
