Democrats Like Harris And Biden Were Anti-Vax While Trump Was In Office

How would the Democrat party be different, if Donald Trump were to have been given a second term? Well, for starters it’s likely that Democrats would be anti-vax.

We received a brief glimpse into what this might look like as Donald Trump waged war against COVID-19 and pushed the vaccine over the finish line during his final months in office.

Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and Andrew Cuomo are all Democrats who vocalized their distrust in the federal government and its vaccine efforts under the Trump administration. These politicians did their best to sow distrust in the vaccine only to turn on a dime when Biden was elected.

The VP expressed her doubts by saying “If Donald Trump tells us that we should take it… I’m not taking it!” And then reinforced these ideas by saying “I will not take his word for it, he wants us to inject bleach… no I will not take his word.”

In reality, Donald Trump never suggested that Americans inject bleach. He referenced a chemical disinfectant that researchers were developing at the time. The disinfectant would be administered via injection, but it was far from bleach. “Disinfectant” is exactly what it sounds like. Something that disinfects.

Joe Biden remarked by saying “I trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don’t trust Donald Trump – and right now, the American people can’t either.”

The former governor of New York has similar reservations. He referenced a study that claimed 54% of Americans wouldn’t take a vaccine produced under Trump. This statistic likely stems from rhetoric espoused by these powerful individuals.

Cuomo went on to say “The question, is the vaccine safe? Frankly, I’m not gonna trust the federal government’s opinion. I wouldn’t recommend to New Yorkers based on the federal government’s opinion.”

If these individuals were skeptical of the federal government and the vaccine before, why can’t they understand why their constituents are now?
