The issue of oil and gas prices in America has shown just how disconnected Democrats are from reality.
Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey said, “Republicans and their oil-soaked cronies…want to feed the American people one of the biggest lies of all – that drilling for more oil and more gas is the path to energy independence.”
Domestic production of energy in any fashion that produces enough to sustain the nation’s usage is certainly a pathway to energy independence, regardless of what form of energy is being produced.
As it stands, oil is currently the most reliable and most available form of energy that exists, especially in terms of transportation.
Gas prices have been driven up due to an increase in demand, The Biden Administration actively standing in the way of domestic drillers, and the war in Ukraine combined with America’s reliance on Russia for crude oil.
Pete Buttigieg, Biden’s Secretary of Transportation also weighed in suggesting that Americans who are upset with high gas prices should simply buy an electric vehicle (EV).
If Americans are unhappy with, or unable to pay $4-$7 per gallon to fill up their gas car, why – or how would they shell out tens of thousands for a brand new EV? The average price for an electric vehicle currently sits above $50,000.
Americans do not want to buy an electric vehicle. They want the current administration to do everything in its power to drive down gas prices. Currently, the opposite is happening.
In a mad attempt to make America go electric Democrats seem to be intentionally doing nothing to stop the ever-rising price of gasoline.
