Despite its hype, the Omicron COVID-19 variant is not going to drive mankind to extinction.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has come forward admitting that Omicron is, “almost certainly not more severe” than the Delta variant. Despite this fact, panic continues.
The Daily Caller reported, South Africa first identified the Omicron variant in November, and the announcement sparked panic around the world. The U.S. announced travel restrictions from South Africa and seven other countries and also began implementing stricter travel guidelines for those entering the U.S. Still, Biden urged Americans not to panic, telling the nation the administration will “fight and beat this new variant.
As of right now, it would appear that very few Americans have died as a result of the new variant. The mainstream media has only reported one death in particular attributed to Omicron.
Fauci however does believe that Omicron is more transmissible but far less lethal. Even after these revelations – Twitter users continue to fearmonger and insist that Omicron will kill in mass numbers.
The variant was first discovered in South Africa and scientists say that more research must be done. Fauci claims that several more weeks must be spent studying it.
