When asked if he’d remain in the White House if Donald Trump was re-elected President of the United States, he simply laughed and said no.
Fauci went on to explain that Trump’s COVID response was not optimal despite numerous fast-acting policies that evidently saved lives.
“If you look at the history of what the response was during the administration, I think, you know, at best, you can say it wasn’t optimal. And I think just, history will speak for itself about that,” the chief medical examiner.
Fauci simply vowing not to stay in his position might just be an advantage to Trump. Fauci is not exactly a popular bureaucrat. Many may see this as nothing more than an additional advantage to voting for the 4th president.
Fauci has served the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since the 1980’s and often quarreled with President Trump in 2020 on issues like immigration control during the pandemic, lockdowns, and experimental medicine.
