Facebooks anti-right bias is shockingly obvious, but a former employee has stepped forward to confirm it.
Kara Frederick a former Facebook employee discussed the differences in moderation between conservatives and liberals with the Daily Caller.
“All of these mistakes, all of these errors when it comes to content moderation of political viewpoints, they all go in one direction.” Frederick said.
“It just doesn’t happen” she said about bans on the leftist-progressive side. She explained that when it does happen, the ban lasts for 24 hours and the banee is apologized to profusely. “This doesn’t happen for conservatives” she claimed.
Frederick referenced the banning of Donald J Trump. “The then sitting President, the most powerful man in the world, kicked off of these platforms. Also kicked off of 17 digital platforms within 2 weeks.”
“At a rate of 53-1 Republican members of Congress are flagged or suspended or scrutinized by these companies compared to democrat politicians.” She explained.
These bans are not just happening to politicians but also to regular conservative commentators that defy the platforms narrative.
A 2019’study that Frederick referenced in her interview with the Daily Caller concluded that Twitter suspends conservatives at a rate that is 21 times more often than they do liberals.
When referencing Facebooks own internal research she said that tools were created after the 2016 election to suppress conservative media. According to her, the research concludes that without those tools, conservative media outlets affected would have exponentially more traffic today.
