Governor Andrew Cuomo Resignation Effective In 14 Days

After calls from Democrats and Republicans alike, Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York has resigned from his position.

A recent report from New York’s attorney General concluded that the nefarious governor had sexually harassed at least 11 women from 2013-2020.

“I think that given the circumstances the best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to government, and therefore that is what I’ll do, because I work for you, and doing the right thing, is doing the right thing for you,” Cuomo said.

The governor continues to deny the allegations against him, but has resigned anyway. The resignation will officially take effect in 14 days.

The rest of his term will be served by Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul. Hochul is a Democrat.

The governor in the past, has been an ardent supporter of the “believe survivors” movement.

More than once Cuomo has tweeted out “#believesurvivors.” Each time the hashtag was used to attack a political opponent.

It seems he views survivors as more of a tool to destroy others, than victims who deserve Justice. Otherwise perhaps, he wouldn’t be in the situation he currently is.

Surprisingly, recent polls show that Cuomo still the most popular candidate among Democrat voters.

He retains support from 26% of voters, a surprising number considering the allegations against him, and his scandalous past.

Prior to his announcement, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and Chuck Schumer had all called for Cuomo’s resignation. the Governor had seemingly no support left in the Democrat party.
