Jen Psaki Paints GOP as The Party Of Defunding The Police

Jen Psaki has attempted to twist the aspirations of the GOP and paint them as the party of “defunding the police”. 

We all know that “defund the police” and “abolish the police” have become the nonsensical slogans of the modern progressive movement.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked “But how is it that that is an argument to be made when the president never mentioned needing money for police to stop a crime wave when he was selling the American Rescue Plan?”

“Well, the president did mention that the American Rescue Plan, the state and local funding, something that was supported by the president, a lot of Democrats who supported and voted for the bill, could help ensure local cops were kept on the beat in communities across the country. As you know, [it] didn’t receive a single Republican vote. That funding has been used to keep cops on the beat,”  the press secretary remarked. 

Doocy came back by saying, “At the time, it was sold that local police departments might have pandemic-related budget shortfalls, not we need to keep cops on the beat because there’s a crime wave.”

These are the tactics that the Democrats use. They pick out one part of a bill that fits what most Republicans might support and then claim that the GOP is “anti ____”

If a Bill exists that would further the pro life agenda, Republicans would likely support it. If that same bill existed but had language in it that would do something like federally legalize transgender surgeries fir children, it’s likely that Republicans would vote against it despite its furthering of the pro life agenda that they support. 

This is why our congress should be dealing with issues on a case to case basis and not voting on 500 page pieces of legislation riddled with hidden changes to law only 5 hours after those bills were written.
