According to a YouTube video posted by the Telegraph, President Joe Biden appears to fall asleep during speeches at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow embarrassing himself and America in front of world leaders.
President Biden crammed in a little shut-eye before his international address Monday — appearing to fall asleep during opening remarks at the COP26 climate change conference in Scotland, reported the New York Post
In the video Biden appears to doze off for a few seconds, he opens his eyes briefly and closes them once again. He appeared to be unconscious for roughly 23 seconds before being awoken by a staffer.
In the video, from 0:18 to 0:41 the President appears to be catching some much needed beauty sleep.
After waking up, Biden clapped for the speaker as if he had been listening to the words that she spoke. He then rubbed his eyes and the video ended.
The job of President is undoubtedly an exhausting one, but if a person in the position cannot bear to stay awake during a summit that gathers leaders from around the world, that person is not fit for the office they hold.
“This conference is one of the most important meetings in history,” the speaker proclaimed as Biden’s rested.
