Joe Biden is once again diverting blame and responsibility. The President has demanded that companies “running gas stations” lower their prices due to the war in Ukraine.
The cost to provide gas to consumers does not suddenly lower just because Ukraine is at war, and gas stations cannot lower their prices below what it costs them to obtain their gas. This would cause them to sell at a loss.
“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril, Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.” He said.
So gas stations should suddenly stop selling gasoline for a profit? How are owners supposed to pay their own bills or afford their personal living?
The real reason that gas prices are so high is that Joe Biden obstructs the fuel industry at every turn. He has banned, limited, and canceled countless gas and oil leases. He denies waivers for small oil refineries and cancels pipelines.
The President allows the EPA to put up as much red tape as they like and has rejoined the Paris climate accord, devastating the highly speculative market.
Communists took a particular likening to the Presidents tweet. Chen Weihua, a member of the Chinese state media responded by saying “Now US President finally realized that capitalism is all about exploitation.”
Chen ignored the fact that prices are high due to government action.
