Let’s get one thing straight – political violence is never justified; unless the left calls for it.
This is the constant double standard we see perpetuating itself in the modern United States.
Any time violence is linked to the GOP or a Republican candidate it’s made out to be a direct reflection of the party and its candidates.
MSNBC host Tiffany Cross has claimed that civil war is imminent, not because the right is going to act, but because the left needs to.
She said “You have millions of people turning into a propaganda network every night,” Cross said. “As if that were not bad enough, that’s an extremist network itself, you have these fringe pop-up outlets from OANN to Newsmax.”
She continued, “Then you have the social media component. The train has left the station. There is no dealing with the rhetoric. At this point, we need serious conversations around preparing for actual violence. People keep saying a Civil War is coming. I would say the Civil War is here.”
When countered, Cross said, “I don’t know if it’s my ministry to have a conversation with a Gaetz supporter.”
Cross seems to have determined that talking with the other side and solving problems is off the table.
There is no “if”, “and” or “buts”, this is a direct call for violence, a mobilization of people to cause political violence.
When supporters of former President Donald Trump broke into the U.S. Capitol and faced off with Capitol police, Trump was demonized, he was blamed despite telling his crowd to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard.
The reason behind the Capitol riot was a conspiracy theory that the election had been rigged by democrats.
In direct contrast, when BLM burned major cities across the country due to the conspiracy theory that systemic racism exists and is at large in America, members of congress said that they understood why the rioters are upset.
There was no congressional investigation and no large-scale initiative to prevent these riots from ever happening again.
After the Capitol riots, those arrested and still in custody have been subjected to harsh 23-hour-a-day solitary confinement.
This has caused even staunch democrats like Elizabeth Warren to speak up, calling such punishment, especially for people not yet convicted of a crime “cruel”.
Unlike the Capitol riot that shrinks in comparison, the BLM riots of 2020 caused billions of dollars in property damage, killed innocent people, and burned government buildings, including police precincts to the ground.
Suddenly, America was in anarchy. But because these riots were caused by a left-wing conspiracy theory, rather than a right-wing one, these riots were left alone.
“Dangerous rhetoric from the left led to an assassination attempt on a U.S. Supreme Court Justice, a shooting at a Congressional baseball practice, Molotov cocktails at pregnancy centers, rampant crime in major cities, and an open border. Call out the left on their threatening hyperbole, then we will talk,” said Republican National Committee spokeswoman Emma Vaughn pointing out more violence on the left.
