As COVID-19 has killed over 600,000 Americans, Republican Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene, introduced the “Fire Fauci Act” along with other members of the party.
It would hold Dr. Anthony Fauci accountable for his handling of the United States’ pandemic response, and lower his salary to $0.
Congressman Paul Gosar said during their Tuesday press conference reveal, “He’s an actor and deserves an Academy Award for best dramatic acting in a pandemic.”
Greene said, “Dr. Fauci was not elected by the American people—he was not supposed to guide our economy. Yet Dr. Fauci very much controlled our lives for the past year.”
She continued, “How do you feel about being part of this human experiment? That is what we have been over this past year?”
When reporters asked Greene if she took the vaccine, she responded, “I stand with the Americans that want their privacy, and HIPAA gives us rights to privacy.”
If Fauci were fired, President Joe Biden’s next top medical advisor would have to be confirmed by the Senate.
