After years of anticipation, and agreement has been made in New York.
“New York State Officials, officials have reached a deal to legalize marijuana legislative sources told The New York Post on Wednesday — just hours after Gov. Andrew Cuomo called it “essential” to the state’s social and economic well-being.
The reform measures will be included in the laws to be proposed as part of the state budget on April 1, the sources said,” according to Fox News.
After this is put into place, New Yorkers at the age of 21, will be able to smoke marijuana recreationally as well as grow their own plants.
The idea, plants will generate hundreds of millions in retail taxes. New Yorkers can legally smoke, and the state government will benefit.
