NYT Reporter Says That Trump Supporters Should Be Recognized As “Enemies Of The State”

Are those who voted for Donald Trump last November enemies of the state? New York Times reporter Katie Benner would have you believe just that.

Fox News reported, New York Times reporter Katie Benner deleted tweets calling for Trump supporters to be considered “enemies of the state” after she faced viral backlash from critics.

Amid the first hearing of the Jan. 6 committee on Capitol Hill, Benner suggested that in order to “combat” national security threats within the country, the solution was to target the voters of the former president.

This might lead one to question if Benner identifies as an ideological fascist. She has openly called for the state to target individuals based on political affiliation and voter allegiances.

The current federal government is dominated by Democrats in congress and in the White House.

If any such action were to be taken it would surely be a fascistic attack on peaceful political opposition. After all, a vast majority of Trump voters were not at the Capitol on January 6th nor would they have behaved in the manner that the insurgents did.

“Today’s #January6thSelectCommittee underscores the America’s current, essential natsec dilemma: Work to combat legitimate national security threats now entails calling a politician’s supporters enemies of the state,” The journalist wrote.

She later deleted the tweet and claimed that it was “unclearly worded.” This tweet however seems very cut and dry. The message is quite clear.

The work to combats national security threats requires calling a politicians supporters enemies of the state.

This tweet could only get more clear if Benner used the former Presidents name rather than calling him “a politician.”
