Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki expressed that it was “Ok” to let children eat in the cold in order to avoid the dangers of COVId-19.
Fox News reported, Psaki insisted schools are having children practice social distancing measures, mask up, and eat their snacks and lunch in frigid outdoor temperatures in an effort to “keep their kids safe and keep students safe.”
Our government officials are willing to exchange safety from other illnesses induced by cold temperatures for safety against COVID-19, the virus that has only killed 0.0002% of the U.S. population and 1.6% of the Americans that it has infected.
In the past schools like Patwin Elementary in California have gone as far as to demand that parents send their children to school with rain coats so that they could eat outside as it downpour.
What’s the point of even eating the food if it’s been rained on? It’s unlikely that children would still like to eat their sandwich after it’s been destroyed by water falling from the sky.
Now children are expected to endure the harsh winter that in some states produced negative temperatures in the name of “stopping the spread”.
With each day the government whittles away more and more. Eventually, there will be nothing left to whittle.
