Red States Dominating Post-Pandemic America

Red states are dominating post-pandemic America. Data shows that states led by Republicans have had a much quicker economic recovery, with more jobs added over a shorter period.

The Daily Caller reported, Republican-leaning states have added 341,000 jobs since February of 2020 while Democratic-led states are still short 1.3 million jobs as of May, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported, citing data from the Brookings Institution.

The Red States also appear more desirable as Americans flock to them, fleeing blue states. Texas, Florida, and North Carolina have all seen an uptick in population while deep blue states like New York, California, and Illinois have all seen residents leave in mass.

“The one piece of good news in this study is that states which maximized the individual freedoms of business owners, consumers, workers and parents – and allowed their citizens to make their own risk assessments without government mandates – had the best performance,” the report said.

Republicans-led states are freer with lower taxes and medical liberty. Blue states like California also experience much higher poverty though some Republican-led border states are struggling with the current border crisis.

It’s important to note that the border crisis is in large part due to democrat inaction on the federal level. President Biden has been weak on illegal immigration and has largely refused to help states like Texas.
