During a rally, Donald Trump tore President Joe Biden apart for “crawling around the globe on his knees begging and pleading” for oil while ignoring unused resources in America.
“Joe Biden is the president of the most energy-rich country on the planet, yet because of his party’s climate hysteria, what they believe on the planet, Biden locked down American oil and natural gas production,” Trump said in his first rally since the State of the Union Address.
He went on, “Now Biden is crawling around the globe on his knees begging and pleading for mercy from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Venezuela.”
America is currently experiencing record-high gas prices reaching up to and even above $7 per gallon in some parts of the United States. This is a result of sanctions on Russia that have cut off oil imports.
In many areas of the country, has surpassed $5 per gallon. In Florence, South Carolina where Trump held his rally, prices sit just under $4 per gallon.
Oddly enough, the administration has blamed much of the inflation and pricing issues on Vladimir Putin, but has previously defended themselves by claiming that only 3% of U.S. crude oil imports were from Russia.
Clearly, if the lack of Russian imports has caused such catastrophic price changes, that 3% was certainly a substantial amount. Inflation and gas prices have soared all year, and the issue has only been exacerbated by the conflict in Ukraine, and the wests’ response.
