Trump was deplatformed on all social media websites, including YouTube, after the January 6 Capitol Building Riots took place.

YouTube said he would be allowed to come back “when the risk of violence decreases,” and is banned indefinitely until then even though there hasn’t been any risk of violence.

Other conservative figures such as Dinesh D’Souza, Donald Trump Jr., Steven Crowder, and Dan Bongino also have accounts on Rumble as it’s seen as the free speech alternative to big tech censorship.

Liz Harrington, a Trump spokeswoman, told Reuters in an email, “It is a great way to reach the American people in a time of unprecedented assault on free speech in our country by Big Tech tyrants.”

Trump’s account currently sits at over 258,000 subscribers. These numbers are sure to grow as Rumble has seen exponential growth.

The Dan Bongino Show wrote, “The platform had 1.6 million members at the third quarter of 2020 – and 31.9 million for the first quarter of 2021 – growth of 1,900%. They recently attracted PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel as an investor.”
