On Thursday during an interview with Vanity Fair, former president Donald Trump took a jab at Nikki Haley, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN.
When talking about Haley, Trump said, “Well, every time she criticizes me, she uncriticizes me about 15 minutes later”.
Haley, a neoconservative GOP member, has been known to criticize Trump, especially after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The day after the riot, Haley said Trump’s “actions since Election Day will be judged harshly by history”.
Despite her criticisms of the former president, Haley is close with Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner. When asked about her thoughts on Trump before and after working with him, Haley said, “The person that I worked with is not the person that I have watched since the election”.
Earlier this year, Haley expressed her disgust with Trump’s treatment of former VP Mike Pence during the riot. Within two months, Haley was praising Trump on Twitter over his his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
During the interview with Vanity Fair, Trump was asked about competition in the 2024 presidential election. He responded, ” I was challenged the last time too, by people that were, you know, I never thought they were effective”.
