Unfortunately, despite Elon Musks’ acquisition of Twitter, Donald Trump likely won’t be returning to the platform to no fault of Elon.

Trump says he’s through with Twitter and seems to be more focused on growing his own project, Truth Social. The 45th President says he’ll stay off of Twitter even if Elon reinstates his currently suspended account.

He told Fox News that over the next 7 days he will formally join Truth, as he had previously planned without returning to his old favorite.

This decision likely has only to do with business. If Trump has been absent from social media, and it’s known that his supporters await his return why would he use a platform that stands in direct competition to his own?

This decision doesn’t mean that the former President has resentment toward Elon Musk, just simply that he has his own priorities at the moment.

“I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth,” He told Fox, complimenting the world’s richest man.
