On top of becoming a member of Twitter’s board of directors, and being the largest shareholder – the CEO has begun interacting with the billionaire and parroting his words.
Twitter’s new CEO Parag Agrawal quote tweeted a poll put up by Elon, where he asked users if they want an edit button for tweets.
In a previous poll about whether or not users felt that the platform respects the principles of free speech, musk warned; “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully.”
In the quote tweet of Musks’ new poll, Agrawal parroted the exact same sentiment verbatim. This seems to confirm that Musk will have influence over decisions that are made at Twitter.
Agrawal also confirmed that Musk has been appointed to Twitter’s board of directors. “I’m excited to share that we’re appointing (Elon Musk) to our board! Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board” the CEO said in a tweet.
He added, “He’s both a passionate believer and intense critic of the service which is exactly what we need on (Twitter), and in the boardroom, to make us stronger in the long-term. Welcome, Elon!”
