In addition to reviewing options for possible cyberattacks against Russia, which include stopping trains, halting internet connectivity, and shutting down power grinds, President Biden is also forking over millions in defense aid to Ukraine.
Fox News reported, The U.S. will further bolster Ukraine’s defense in the face of Russian invasion with an unprecedented third payment of $350 million, Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Saturday.
This comes shortly after the U.S. offered the Ukrainian President an evacuation, and he responded by saying, “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.”
This aid will allegedly include munitions, body armor, and other equipment according to the pentagon. This aid will be sent despite the Russian President’s alluded threat of nuclear warfare over interference.
“Whoever tries to hinder us, and even more so, to create threats to our country, to our people, should know that Russia’s response will be immediate. And it will lead you to such consequences that you have never encountered in your history,” Vladimir Putin said.
“I have authorized, pursuant to a delegation by the President, an unprecedented third Presidential drawdown of up to $350 million for immediate support to Ukraine’s defense. This brings the total security assistance the United States has committed to Ukraine over the past year to more than $1 billion,” Blinken said.
