Virginia Tech Professor Apologizes To Students For Being White

The world has flipped upside-down, and some white people feel the need to apologize for their race. Sometimes they go as far as to apologize for their sexuality, and gender orientation as well.

A Virginia Tech professor has recently issued a syllabus to her students. In the syllabus she reportedly apologized for all above mentioned attributes.

Fox News reported,

A professor at Virginia Tech University issued a syllabus to her students in which she apologized to students of color for being a White, straight cisgendered female.

Dr. Crystal Duncan Lane, who teaches human development and family science, also reportedly informed students in her Human Development 1134 class that racism is innate within “the reality of white people,” according to Campus Reform.

White straight cig gendered people, are not members of a hive mind. They do not share thoughts, or responsibility for the actions of other people who look like them.

Why one individual whites person would need to apologize for the actions of other white people generations ago, is incomprehensible.

The Professor wrote, “I am a Caucasian cisgender female and first-generation college student from Appalachia who is of Scottish, British, and Norwegian heritage, “I am married to a cisgender male, and we are middle class. While I did not ‘ask’ for the many privileges in my life: I have benefitted [sic] from them and will continue to benefit from them whether I like it or not.”

The irony, is that Virginia Tech has various affirmative action programs in which they actually give women and minorities an edge over others when applying for admission or employment.

They are overvalued as a result of their race or gender. The only privilege that Professor Lane has is derived from the one status that she likely associates with oppression. Her womanhood.

Duncan continued on in her syllabus, “This is injustice. I am and will continue to work on a daily basis to be antiracist and confront the innate racism within myself that is the reality and history of white people,” Duncan Lane continued. “I want to be better: Every day. I will transform: Every day. This work terrifies me: Every day. I invite my white students to join me on this journey. And to my students of color: I apologize for the inexcusable horrors within our shared history.”

The only injustice that exists, is that if two equally qualified persons, one a female of a minority race, and the other a white male applying for either admission as a student, or fir employment, the woman might get the job simply as a result if her physical characteristics rather than her mind or competence.

Students explained that the class is about disabilities, and not related to politics whatsoever. They expressed a desire for their instructor to stay on topic and leave her opinions to her self.

One student told Campus Reform, “It hurts that someone says I was born with ‘innate racism’ because of my skin color. It makes me feel like I should hide and worry about everything I say.”

Allegedly the professors faculty page now reverts to an “error 404.” It’s unclear what has happened.
